The Desk

After I begged Mr. Fitz to get rid of our particle board corner desk that was a very big eye sore. I begged him to bring back this monstrosity from San Antonio.
(Pay no attention to the web of cords under the desk)

This desk is HEAVY. This desk was my Dad's first desk when he started working as an Accountant. It had been sitting in my parent's garage forever b/c my Dad had stepped it up and got a very nice desk with a credenza etc. But I guess they could never bring themselves to get rid of it......just as I will not get rid of it.

Now that I work from home I use the desk more often than just checking emails and paying bills. We had a glass top fitted so that we could keep it clean and I put photos underneath the glass.

It has these pull out tables that are handy when I have a ton of paperwork scattered all over the place.

The taped papers on the pull out tables is also really old. My Dad did payroll for a company and this is basically a spreadsheet (typed of course) of how much you would make in a year if you worked for $2.10 an hour. It goes all the way up to $4.80. So if you worked for $3.40 an hour then you made $7,072 annually. You can see some of the paper is ripped and I keep taping it back up. It has a bunch of doodles on it and it's been taped there for YEARS...probably about 40 years or more?? I'll have to ask my Dad this weekend when we go to San Antonio to visit.
I am trying to find new handles for it...but they are a ackward size. When we move I'd like to take it to get cleaned up and oiled. Just to keep it looking new.

Aqua/Swim Class

So today I went to the 9:15am aqua class. The only other time I had been was on a Saturday.

So I walk to the pool area and see a bunch of grandma's and when I say grandma's I mean they could almost be my great-grandma! Most of them had their hair did and some sort of bright colored lipstick on.

They were giving each other crap and yelling at the other ladies to get in the pool. The instructor shows up and class begins. All the old ladies just crack up and the instructor had to tell them to stop dilly dallying! It was funny.

I hear a few ladies talk about a lady named Marge who was not at class today. Apparently she is quite the cut up. Our instructor teaches outside the pool so it gets pretty hot in the indoor area. So they ladies ended up splashing water on her...then later one of the other ladies comes over to a lady near me and says "We should keep splashing her!" The lady responds saying "You are so bad" She replies with "No I am not, Marge is" And Marge wasn't even there!

It was funny to watch and listen to them. Half of them ditched class early and just left.
Oh and the instructor had a sports drink and it was the color of apple juice and they asked if it was beer or scotch! They said "Everyone drinks on the job!"

Here are few things over heard during class.
"She should have shown up for class or else we talk about her"
Instructor says "This skill is good for all levels" and I hear this one lady say "But not if you're old"
Can't wait until Friday's class!

Finally and uneventful weekend!

We had such a great weekend! We haven't had any definite plans the last 3-4 weekends. They have all consisited of weddings and bachlorette parties....and VERY late nights!

Saturday I attended my first aqua class. It was a great work out and different from my regular routine of treadmill and weights. I am hoping to keep up the aqua class for the rest of the pregnancy. It'll be awesome as it gets hotter and hotter and as I get bigger and bigger.
I have been really consistent about working out now that I work from home. I am actually using my gym membership rather than making a deposit every month and not attending! It's also nice to go the gym in the middle of the day b/c it's practically empty...not fighting for treadmill or waiting for certain machines! I have been keeping a little calendar of what I do each day and it's nice to look back at each week. I am also hoping this will help with labor and recovery!

We attended my neice's 4th birthday party that was a tea party place in Grapevine (letspretendteaparties.com). It was so cute to see all the girls dressed and and two little boys attended and they dressed up as a dragon and a king. It was so darling.

After the party we did a "walk-through" at Lone Star Baby. I think the Mr. Fitz's comment at the end of the walk around was "Can't we just put the kid in a drawer? Eddie Munster did okay?" Awesome.

Have a good week!

Header

I can't figure out how to get a pic in the header.
So just imagine it as a blank canvas and use your imagination of
what you would like to see
in the frame! ;)

Hi there!

I feel like such a bad blogger but I've got a lot going on and at the same time nothing interesting going on.

Last weekend I went to Houston for a girls weekend. My friend Mandy got married and is moving to London so we had a bachelorette party and going away party in her honor.
It was a great relaxing weekend...except for the part where we stayed out until 3am!
Here's a pic before we went to dinner.
The bride requested pink and black attire.
We had so much fun I missed my flight on Sunday...oops.
Luckily the next flight was not full and they didn't charge me any additional fees!
Switching gears to baby stuff..... I am 22 weeks pregnant now. Still feeling good, I could totally be on that show "I Didn't Know I was Pregnant". I have started to have some discomfort sleeping on my side and I definitely cannot eat as much as I did before. I get so full I am MISERABLE! We are all signed up for baby classes and this weekend I plan on dragging the Baby Daddy to look at furniture.
We also put our house up for sale. So hopefully someone will buy it before the kiddo arrives...but that's it about 4 months, so we're doubtful.
