Baby Book

So I bought a Baby Book last month that I didn't love but I knew I would never find the perfect one. So, I bought this one at Hallmark. Neutral, cute and it had all the basic info I wanted to write about.

To spice it up a bit and to match the room decor I covered it with the fabric from the bedding.
It's plush too b/c I added batting to it. Cute uh? I am excited it turned out so well!

Place your bets!

Yes, we are those people that have decided to NOT found out the sex of our baby. I wanna know but at the same time I don't. We've waited this long! Monday we had another ultrasound and I wanted to peek soooo bad. She told us to close our eyes when she got "down there". I closed my eyes but then opened real quick...almost like I would get in trouble for peeking. She was real quick when going over that area so even if I wanted to know the nurse was too darn quick.

So what do you think is it a BOY or a GIRL? What were some of your pregnancy symptoms that lead you to determine the sex? Were you sick, how did you carry, etc?

Here are few stats to take into consideration.

  • Not many cravings...I have noticed I've wanted more salty foods and I eat more ice cream...but I think that's mostly b/c it's HOT and summer time.
  • NO morning sickness. Nothing, nada, zilch.
  • Lots of moving and kicking the last few weeks. ALL THE TIME.
  • Hearbeat has been about 150 give or take.
  • I think I am carrying high but to me it's more in the middle and just sticks out.
I took a few of the gender tests online and it said 52% girl, 47% boy BUT another test said 67% boy and 33% girl!

The Chinese Calendar says it's a boy BUT there are different versions...and one version said it's a girl! ;)

And my Dr. said that of a group last year of her pateints that did not find out 18 out of 20 all had boys. She joked if you want a boy don't find out the sex!

Second Ultrasound-5/18:

Third Ultrasound-8/17:
This is the only pic we got...I think b/c the others show his/her naughty bits.
This is looking up at the baby...you can kinda see where she typed in nose and chin.
Do you see the mouth?

My husband and I both had dreams early on that it was a girl. He still thinks it's a girl...but I am starting to think it's a boy. BUT I just don't know!
8 weeks seems so far away yet so close!!!!

Baby Classes

The hubby and I have been attending baby classes at the hospital in preparation for Baby Fitz's arrival. During the first class we had to go around the room and introduce ourselves, announce our due date and tell the class what we are most excited about and what we are most nervous about. I was kind of shocked when the first Dad-to-be said he was most nervous about his Mother-in-Law staying with them for a few weeks. Then the next girl (whose husband was not in attendance for that class) said her due date and our teacher said that she was due that day too! Then the girl said "yeah, but we're not that excited about the due date b/c that's my husband's step-dad's bday and he left the family...so we're not really excited about that."
oookay...I didn't realize the class was going to be a therapy session!

So our turn comes and I have no idea what Fitz is going to say. I just make up something...like I am nervous about labor and that I am excited about meeting him/her. He says..the great communicator that he is..."I am nervous about communicating with the baby" Okay, good one..and he is most excited about finding out the sex.

Soooo, after class we're walking back to the car and I say something like "I didn't know you were nervous about that, I didn't realize it kept you up at night" Of course, it really doesn't keep him up at night and it was the first thing he thought of. Oh.
He then tells me "What I really wanted to say was I am excited and nervous about the same thing....finding out the paternity test results!" Bada-bum.

Nice, gotta love him.

30 weeks!

Today I am 30 weeks!

That means I'll be having a baby in 10 weeks, people...10 WEEKS!!!

Or less...as so many people have reminded me! ;)

I finally decided on nursery bedding...nothing like the last minute. Thanks to Coco and Casey I'll have the cutest nursery on the block! ;) Can't wait until it's all done!

We went to San Antonio for the weekend for a family shower in the morning and a friends shower in the evening. I have such wonderful friends and family. They went all out for the showers. We got lots of stuff and are so thankful and grateful for everthing and everyone!

Here are a few pics from the the family shower.

Sister, Mom and Me. My sister is 20 weeks pregnant with another boy!

My sister showing everyone how to use the sling she got me and me showing off cute burp cloths.
I also received two handmade crocheted blanks from family members. They are very special blankets. Can't wait to use them!

Here are a few pics from the friends shower. It was co-ed, my friends and sister did a great job planning everything. The guys had to change a diaper blind folded and we also had to guess the candy bar in the diaper. My sister even heated the diapers so they were warm...gross!!! I would show you pics of Mr. Fitz blind folded trying to change a diaper...but he would not approve. He's a little suspicious of this whole blog world! But it did take him almost 2 minutes to change the diaper!

Check out the delicious cake and the cute favors!!!

Cute diaper decorations!

My sister and mom made this for Mr. Fitz. Complete with goggles, gloves and of course he found a spot for his beer. And check out the Elvis burp cloth!

The girls! I know, we are so cute!

I thought this was so cute. My sister got a double stroller so I bought her Bob from her. But actually my parents ended up buying it for us. So when my mom brought it out, Ethan (our nephew) recognized it right away and jumped right into the stroller.

The party gang!
