Dearest Liam
Dear sweet-baby-boy Liam,
Oh, how I love you so. You're the light of my life. Except last night, it was dark and there was no light at the end of the tunnel. The last few nights you've been waking promptly at 1am even after I have drugged you. Last night, rather this morning you decided to not go back to sleep until 3:30am. You're tired, I am tired.
If you recall, this is how it went down.
Screaming, crying.
Lots of shooshing.
Lots of belly rubbing.
Then stop the belly rubbing.
Music on.
Stare at you until you dose back off.
Quietly tip toe out of the room.
CRAP, you heard a creak.
Repeat.
I broke down and gave you a bottle. Which I haven't given you a bottle in the night for over 6 months. That seemed to do the trick until 6am, then Daddy brought you to bed with us. Two big no-nos in the Fitz house! Yup, you won.
When I picked you up, you're fine, you're ready to party. As you know I am not above letting you cry it out. Which I did for 10 minutes. Yup, I turned off the sound on the monitor too. I could still hear you, the neighbors probably heard you too. I am sorry your teeth hurt and I hate to see you in pain. But you should be used to it by now. You're probably the only 10 month old with almost 14 teeth.
So tonight, let's get a few things straight. Go to bed. Stay in bed for at least 12 hours. Let me re-phrase that, stay in bed ASLEEP.
Thank you,
The Management

Pool+Heat+Adult Beverages=Tiring
Last weekend I was captain poopy pants b/c we didn't have a lot going on and I am mostly at home during the week so I was ready to do something...but we didn't have a whole lot to do. But this weekend was different!
Saturday morning Liam had his first birthday party to go to. It was for Payton. Payton was the only little girl at her party! She is all GIRL and the boys are all BOY. She had on the cutest little frilly outfit and she is walking around all the boys that are still crawling. Anyway, the party was precious and Liam enjoyed playing with other kids....at least it looked like it!
Liam's friend, Cash.
Then, we ran back home to get ready for our own last minute party! My friend Megan called and said "Hey why don't I come over with my Margerator and hang out by the pool?" Um, okay? Which then turned into about 10+ other people coming over too. Check out my rack! ;) It holds all the pool/outside stuff! Love it!
I told everyone to come over anytime after 3. I planned it like this b/c Liam naps between 3-5. So I knew I would have about 2 hours to enjoy the pool and margs before I had to feed him and get him in the pool. Then our friend with kids showed up after their kids naps...so it worked out perfectly that all the kids got to hangout together. Liam woke up with tons of people in our house. Then he was plum worn out after pool time and completely passed out at 8pm...and back in the pool for us!
Sunday, I only left the house to pick up a pizza! It was nice and relaxing after Saturday fun day!
