A Day in the Life.....

Well we've finally got the routine down and it hasn't changed too much since right after the holidays. Liam is such a doll and I am in his face every waking hour either kissin on him or trying to make him laugh/smile. I am sure he'll be pushing me away soon enough so for now I am going to be all up in his bizness.


7:30am
Liam: Start to wake up, make a lot noises to make sure they hear me.
Me: Yes, I hear you. Grubble that he's already waking up, make coffee!

8am
Liam: Mom finally comes to get me.
Me: Get Liam out of crib, change diaper, eat his face, give reflux meds.

8:15am
Liam: Sit on Mom's lap.
Me: Review/check emails.

8:30am
Liam: Whine, ready to eat, I don't like to eat when I first get up.
Me: Run downstairs to prepare bottle (and get a coffee refill), grab bib and burp cloth. Feed kiddo while watching the news.

9am
Liam: Playtime. I hate it when she kisses on me and makes me lay on my tummy.
Me: Wake time! Kisses galore, tummy time.

9:30am-10-ish
Liam: I do like to sleep but sometimes not for very long. ;)
Me: Nap time for Liam…work time for me for as long as he naps. Sometimes 30 minutes sometimes 2 hours. Grab a banana or something quick to eat, laundry, whatever house stuff needs to be done.

11am-ish
Liam: Wake from nap.
Me: Nap time over. More kisses. Change his clothes and wash face.

Noon-ish
Liam: Eat again. I like to eat…then I like to spit it all up!
Me: Prepare bottle, feed kid, clean kid (probably change the clothes I just put him in!)

12:30-1-ish
Liam: Playtime. I can grab things now and they go straight to my mouth!
Me: Wake time! Kisses galore, monitor the items going into his mouth.

After wake time..when he is starting to get tired.
Liam: Nap time AGAIN. Gosh!
Me: If he didn't sleep long in the AM I put him in his papasan chair b/c he sleeps longer in it! ;) Then for me work, check emails, lunch, wash bottles, laundry, house stuff.

3ish (no later)
Liam: I'm awake…come get me!!!!
Me: Wake him up, if he's not awake already. Feed him.

After feeding then:
Liam: Mom keeps me awake and entertained.
Me: We run errands. Keep him awake until bed time routine! :) Start dinner.

6:30-7-ish
Liam: I love the bath….yeah splish splash
Me: Start the "Bs" Bath, Bottle, Book, Bundle, Bed

Liam: I like the bath but right now I like to scream my head off before going to sleep. I do this for about an hour then get over it and fall asleep.
Me: Clean the bum, give the meds, diaper, lotion, pajamas, bottle, sleep sack, bed!!! (Except the last week or so he's been screaming his head off before going to bed for a full hour! AWESOME!) Rock him to sleep, make up songs, maybe request a glass of wine/beer while screaming continues.

Liam: ahhh dreamland
Me: cook dinner, eat dinner, maybe watch a tv show while washing bottles, prepare bottles for night time feeding, work, do whatever else needs to be done.

Liam: Sometimes my mom or dad will wake me up from a deep sleep to feed me. Can a guy get some sleep around here???
Me (or Mr. Fitz): If we're up for it, we'll wake Liam up before going to bed for another feeding. That way he's just getting up at night once instead of twice. ;)

11pm-Midnight
Liam: Depending on whether those people wake me up…I wake up on my own cuz a guy has got to eat!!!
Me: Just fell asleep only 3o minutes earlier.....feed hungry baby.

3am-ish
Liam: Wake up to eat…..hmmm food
Me: Fumble around monitor controls to make sure I am hearing correctly…yup…time to eat.

Liam: REPEAT but probably with more crying and more poop.
Me: REPEAT but probably with more booze. ;)
