I drove to San Antonio on Friday to drop off the kiddo with my parents. Then Saturday morning I drove to Fredericksburg without the hubs and without the kiddo. It was a nice quiet drive through the hill country. It was a beautiful day to walk around Main Street. There are so many cute stores and beer gardens. I can't wait to go back!
The wedding reception was at the Trois Estate, one of the many B&Bs in the area. It was such a neat place. It had little haciendas as the rooms. The reception was on the rooftop and then downstairs in a courtyard. It overlooked the beautiful hill country. It got a little chilly in the evening but everyone was prepared with coats and Leona wore this really pretty ...I don't know what to call it. It's not a shaw, not an overcoat...kinda like a bolero but no sleeves? Anyway, it matched her dress and had this really pretty brooch. Luckily, it wasn't too cold or rainy or she would have had to host the reception it was we called the Taxidermy Room. Check it out.
It had lions, tigers and bears! Oh my!

Glad you had a good time catching up with friends. I think we should try to do a girls weekend there someday - a little shopping, fun restaurants and wineries sound good to me. :)
