We arrived on Thursday morning around 11am. Which meant our flight left DFW at 6am! Which means getting up at the butt crack o dawn. I woke up at 3:45 am. We barely made it to the airport. Luckily, our gate was right outside of security and we literally walked out of security on to the plane. No time to eat, no time to pee. Our luggage didn't make it. It didn't arrive until 8pm in NYC that night! Luckily we didn't have to go back to the airport to pick it up b/c the airline delivered it but we did have to wait all day for it.
We walked around a bit when we arrived and ate lunch at Carnegie Deli. Check out this sandwich!
We shared it and there was plenty leftover! And you'll notice in the back a bowl of pickles. They serve this to you when you sit down. They were yummy!
That night we went to a New York Mets Game. My hubby being born in NY is a huge NY team fan. Not the Yankess though...only the Mets. It was really nice to take the Subway literally to the front door of the stadium. Gotta love mass transit.
The best part of the game, Nathan's hot dog! Delish!
It got pretty chilly at the game...so later on I got hot chocolate. A lot of people were drinking coffee and hot chocolate towards the end of the game. Can you even think about drinking hot chocolate at a baseball game in TX, hell no!!!
Friday was our was our 5th wedding anniversary. We did a lot of sight seeing on Friday afternoon and we came back to the hotel so I could rest before dinner and the Broadway show.
While I was napping Mr. Fitz went out for a walk and came back with beautiful red roses! So sweet.
Dinner was really good. And the play was funny. A little slow at first but got funny towards the middle to end. It was only 4 people. One setting. No intermission. We were out by 9:30. We were standing outside the theatre deciding what to do next and notice people waiting outside the side door for the stars to come out. So we thought we would wait too if it didn't take too long. They came right out. They all signed autographs and took some pictures. Mr. Fitz is a huge Sopranos fan so he was pretty excited to see "Tony" and I got my picture with Marcia Gay Harden. Here are a few pics.
Saturday we did more sight seeing. We took a water taxi to Liberty and Ellis Island. We were not able to get out though. The official tour of the Statue of Liberty was over 5 hours long. So we decided on a quick tour that didn't take up our whole day.
Here is a pic of Rockefeller Center. The umbrellas is a restuarant. That is where the ice skating rink is in the winter. The other pic is of us at the top of Rockefeller Center...or Top of the Rock.
We stopped in Central Park most days for a break. This was Saturday and the weather was gorgeous. Tons of picnics and frisbees flying everywhere.
All in all a great trip. I would love to go back in the fall and see the big Christmas tree and to ice skate!

Looks like you have a fabulous time!! I have been to NYC three time and never seen Central Park. I never knew it was so big!!
It is huge...this was just one part of it!
I can't believe I didn't know you saw Tony and Marcia Gay Hardin! I am soooo in love with Tony.
And you look freaking darling in that Mets shirt with your big belly. Love it!
I love seeing your growing belly - and of course NYC looks great but you steal the show. You look fabulous!!
